Pfizer Award
Sponsored by Pfizer, The PDIG award of £1500 will be made to fund work in the field of procurement and distribution of pharmaceuticals in the hospital environment.
Areas of interest may be in one of the following:
- The procurement, storage and distribution of medicines in hospitals
- The Cold Chain
- EDI Implementation
- IT for purchasing, ordering and distribution
- IT for stock control and usage data capture
- Best Practice and Benchmarking in the field
- Training developments
- Any other related topics in the field
These are not prescriptive and any other topic in the area will be considered.
About the Award
The award is open to:
- Pharmacists
- Pharmacy technicians
- Pharmacy support staff
Applications will consist of a proposal of about 1000 words which will cover:
- The objectives
- Proposed timetable
- Methods
- Proposed outcomes
- Estimated costs.
And a curriculum vitae stating:
- Surname
- First name
- Qualifications
- Current position with dates
- Previous position with dates
The winner will be expected to present the winning paper to the PDIG day conference.
